The Cardoner Project is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information, which The Cardoner Project collects, holds and administers. 

The Cardoner Project collects and administers a range of personal information for the purpose engaging it’s supporters and develop support for its partners both domestic and international. •    Provide stakeholders with access to their own information, and the right to seek its correction.

Individuals that sign up to receive The Cardoner Project communications voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. Individuals may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

Our Responsibilities:
•    The Cardoner Project’s Policy Coordinator is responsible for developing, adopting and reviewing this policy.
•    The Cardoner Project’s Director is responsible for the implementation of this policy, for monitoring changes in Privacy legislation, and for advising on the need to review or revise this policy as and when the need arises. 


The Cardoner Project will:
•    Only collect information that is necessary for the performance and primary function of The Cardoner Project.  
•    Notify stakeholders about why we collect the information and how it is administered. 
•    Notify stakeholders that this information is accessible to them.

Use and Disclosure
The Cardoner Project will:
•    Only use or disclose information for the primary purpose for which it was collected or a directly related secondary purpose.  
•    For other uses, The Cardoner Project will obtain consent from the affected person.

Data Quality
The Cardoner Project will:
•    Take reasonable steps to ensure the information the organisation collects is accurate, complete, up to date, and relevant to the functions we perform.

Data Security and Retention
The Cardoner Project will:

Access and Correction
The Cardoner Project will:
•    Ensure individuals have a right to seek access to information held about them and to correct it if it is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or not up to date.

The Cardoner Project will:
•    Give stakeholders the option of not identifying themselves when completing evaluation forms or opinion surveys.

Making Information Available to Other Organisations
The Cardoner Project can:
•    Only release personal information about a person with that person’s express permission. For personal information to be released, the person concerned must sign a release form.   
•    Can release information to third parties where the person concerned requests it
